College of Horticulture Held a Work Conference on the “100-Day Tackling” Action for Graduate Employment

    In order to implement the spirit of Guangdong Province's TV and telephone conference to promote the employment of college graduates, promote the orderly development of our college's employment work, and help to win the double victory of epidemic prevention and control and stable employment. On May 18, 2020, our college held a working conference on the “100-day Tackling” action for college graduates' employment. The meeting was attended by party secretary Luo Jun, dean Hu Guibing, deputy party secretary Ma Qiang, deputy dean Cao Panrong, Wu Zhenxian, and Liu Shaoqun,class teacher and counsel attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Luo Jun.

    Secretary Luo Jun first conveyed the spirit of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Conference of Universities in Guangdong Province, analyzed the current employment situation under epidemic prevention and control, emphasized the importance and urgency of the college's employment work, and should comprehensively compact the responsibilities for promoting employment work and strengthen the linkage to form cohesion.

    Subsequently, Deputy Secretary Ma Qiang gave a detailed analysis of the employment situation of graduates of our college and the entrance examination of undergraduate graduates to the participants, and introduced the countermeasures of the school's 100-day tough tackling action. To consolidate responsibilities, establish a segmentation and contracting mechanism for the leadership of the college-department head-class teacher, and graduate tutor; establish a precise assistance mechanism for the classification of graduates vulnerable groups counselors, thereby forming a joint force; Expand the supply of jobs through macro and micro levels, strengthen information communication and classified guidance; at the same time, formulate and implement the College Employment Award Implementation Measures to form an employment reward and punishment mechanism to jointly promote the employment of graduates.

    Deputy Dean Cao Panrong mentioned that at present all class teachers and mentors should integrate the recruitment information resources of alumni companies and cooperative units in their hands and strengthen the connection with the companies. At the same time, expand the publicity of the postdoctoral work of the college and promote the employment of doctor students.

    Class teacher representatives Chen Wenpin and Zhang Lingyun suggested that the class teachers of the graduating class should consciously strengthen the employment counseling for students, and actively match the employer information with the graduates to achieve one-to-one accurate results and promote the employment of students.

    At the end of the meeting, Secretary Luo Jun concluded that graduates are important human resources and alumni resources, and the college should attach great importance to employment, especially in the critical year of poverty alleviation. Teachers of the college should vigorously publicize the current employment policy and guide them correctly, and therefore put forward the implementation measures of three reinforcements and three precisions, namely strengthening overall planning, strengthening coordination, strengthening integration, precision help, accurate guidance, and accurate understanding of graduates' thought dynamics. It is preferable to coordinate and help the employment of the “vulnerable groups” of graduates, cooperate with class teachers, mentors and counselors to integrate employment information resources, and jointly win the “100-day tackling” of graduate employment in our college.
