The "Frontiers in Horticulture" academic report held by the College of Horticulture: Research progress on the molecular mechanism of apple sorbitol signaling and the application of transgenic root technology in economic forests

  On October 30, 2020, the College of Horticulture held a Frontier of Horticulture academic report meeting at 101C of the college building. The guest invited for this report meeting was Professor Meng Dong from the College of Forestry of Beijing Forestry University. The meeting was hosted by Professor Xia Rui of the College.

  At the beginning of the report, Professor Meng Dong briefly introduced his research fields and some research results, and expanded on the topics of the report one by one from point to surface.

  Professor Meng first introduced to everyone what molecular mechanism research is, then to plant reproductive development, metabolic regulation, and finally to the application of molecular mechanism research in economic forests. During the explanation process, Professor Meng used a lot of data and graphs to provide students with detailed information. The intuitive introduction and analysis reflected the rigorous scientific research attitude of a scientific researcher, and the teachers and students present were very engaged. 

  During the interactive stage, students on the scene spoke enthusiastically and communicated face-to-face with Professor Meng Dong. After the meeting, there were still many teachers and students who hoped to continue discussions with Professor Meng. The scene was enthusiastic. In applause, the academic report will be successfully concluded.
