"Gardening lecture hall" quality agriculture, a better life

On the morning of December 13, the college invited Mr. Liu Dong, a 2008 alumnus of our school and general manager of Guangdong Guoxing Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd., to give a lecture on Quality Agriculture, Better Life in the 224 lecture hall of the College of Horticulture.

First of all, Mr. Liu throws out the word scene, pointing out that the future development of agriculture cannot do without the support of science and technology. Then, focusing on the word scene, he explained the development of modern agriculture to the students from four perspectives: agriculture, crops, agricultural science, and agricultural technicians. At the same time, it also pointed out that we must solve the two major contradictions between existing resources and human needs, and between agricultural production labor and agricultural output. He also pointed out that in modern agriculture, we must be good at using new media technology to understand and follow up on the user experience in a timely manner to better improve the quality of agricultural products.

Next, Brother Liu invited the students on site to taste the two flavors of grapefruit. After tasting, the students made a simple comparison and comment on the two. Subsequently, Brother Liu Dong, based on his years of experience and knowledge, analyzed the differences between the two grapefruits and their respective advantages and disadvantages in terms of appearance, moisture, and sweetness. He believes that the future of agriculture must be combined with advanced science and technology, so as to continuously improve the quality of agriculture and build a better life. At the same time, he encouraged students to change their thinking, from what do I want to what can I do for the country, accurately find their own position and give full play to their talents.

In the last interactive session, the students put forward their questions in a targeted manner, and Senior Brother Liu Dong answered them patiently and in detail. From time to time, there were bursts of applause in the venue, and the atmosphere was warm.
