On May 28th, the 56th Swimming Games of South China Agricultural University was grandly held in Huashan Swimming Pool. Seven swimmers from our school stood out in the college water sports meeting and represented our school to participate in this swimming game. With the sound of the whistle, a vigorous figure jumped into the water, and the athletes in the blue pool showed their graceful posture enthusiastically, forming a joyful youthful landscape.
Whether it is the breaststroke which tests the perseverance of the players or the 4*50m relay which tests the speed and cooperation, the athletes participating in these events show the sportsmanship of hard work and never admit defeat, constantly surpass themselves and strive for better results.
Participating students from the College of Horticulture worked stubbornly in the competition and burst out with strong motivation. After fierce competition, in the case of not being dominant in the number of people, they finally won the total score of the 56th South China Agricultural University Men’s Team with excellent results. Among them, Guan Tianle from Class 5 of Level 17 Horticulture not only won the men’s 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter freestyle, and 4x50-meter medley championships, but also broke the record of the Guangdong Provincial University Swimming Championships in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 59.93 seconds ( 1'00''08, October 2018)!
