On the afternoon of June 30, 2021, the College of Horticulture held the July 1 commendation meeting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party in the 101C conference room. Party Secretary Zhang Yifa, Dean Hu Guibing, Deputy Party Secretary Ma Qiang, Vice Deans Cao Fanrong, Wu Zhenxian, Liu Shaoqun, and all the faculty and staff of the college and representatives of some student party members attended the meeting. Secretary Zhang Yifa first gave a speech and read out the Decision of the Committee of the College of Horticulture of South China Agricultural University of the Communist Party of China on Commending Advanced Party Branches, Excellent Party Branch Secretaries, Excellent Party Members and Excellent Party Workers. On behalf of the Party Committee of the College of Horticulture, Secretary Zhang Yifa praised the outstanding performance of various party branches and party members in epidemic prevention and control, poverty alleviation, and college development. These work and results reflect the cohesion and centripetal force of the Party Committee of the College of Horticulture. At the same time, Secretary Zhang Yifa also put forward requirements to all the participants. At the end of the commendation ceremony, Deputy Secretary Ma Qiang encouraged the winning collectives and individuals to make persistent efforts and work together to contribute to the development of the school and the college.

At the end of the meeting, all participants watched the video of the speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the July 1st Medal award ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
