As the deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Social Service Work Committee of the Democratic Progressive Association, Liu Houcheng actively organizes and participates in the social service work of the Social Work Committee, gives full play to his professional advantages, and is mainly responsible for agricultural-related social services and targeted poverty alleviation work; as the deputy director of the grassroots committee of the Democratic Progressive South China Agricultural University Committee actively organizes members to participate in social services and targeted poverty alleviation work, such as participating in targeted poverty alleviation work organized by South China Agricultural University and relevant provincial units, and “helping Heyuan” agricultural assistance activities.

Teacher Liu Houcheng uses his expertise in facility gardening and vegetables, and actively participates in key tasks such as rural revitalization strategy, modern agricultural industrial park construction, and poverty alleviation. Actively cooperate with the Poverty Alleviation Work in Anlong County, Guizhou Province of the Democratic Progressive Central Committee, and provide technical support for vegetable production and other aspects. Invited by a number of units, he provided suggestions for the industrial upgrading of its counterpart poverty alleviation base in Guangdong Province, carried out technical training and technical support, etc., and received wide acclaim. In cooperation with the rural revitalization and poverty alleviation work of the New Countryside Development Institute of South China Agricultural University, a number of characteristic industrial bases have been established, technology demonstrations and technical lectures have been carried out to serve the local vegetable industry. Participate in the construction of a number of vegetable-related industrial technology research institutes to provide technical support for the high-quality development of related industries. Actively serve the modern agricultural industrial park in Guangdong Province, and provide technical support and guidance for the construction of a number of vegetable-related agricultural industrial parks in the province.
