On the morning of August 1, the opening ceremony of the Tea Research Institute of South China Agricultural University-Hedeyuan Tea Co., Ltd. and South China Agricultural University-Hedeyuan Tea Art Room was held in 608 College of Horticulture. Xian Chunlong, Vice President of South China Agricultural University, Zhang Yifa, Party Secretary of the College of Horticulture, Hu Guibing, Dean, Ma Qiang, Deputy Party Secretary, Wu Zhenxian, Vice Dean, Liu Shaoqun, Vice Dean, and Weng Rongcai, General Manager of Guangdong Hedeyuan Tea Industry Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony and unveiled , Cai Luanying, general manager of Guangdong Hedeyuan Sales Management Co., Ltd., and Dou Wenjuan, operations director, attended the ceremony and witnessed the unveiling.

Vice President Xian Chunlong opened the box and delivered a speech for the first achievement of the Tea Research Institute's thematic research and development project-Phoenix Songzhong.

Subsequently, the unveiling ceremony officially began. Vice President Xian Chunlong and General Manager Weng Rongcai jointly unveiled the tea research institute of South China Agricultural University-Hedeyuan Tea Co., Ltd., and South China Agricultural University-Hedeyuan Tea Art Room.

In January 2021, Hedeyuan Tea Co., Ltd. formally signed a contract with the College of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University, opening a new chapter in school-enterprise cooperation. Jointly established South China Agricultural University-He Deyuan Tea Research Institute to cooperate in academic research and course teaching on the cultivation and production of oolong tea. The Tea Research Institute has laboratories, tea art rooms, and teaching practice bases. Among them, the tea art room is used for tea making experience and the spread of Chaoshan Gongfu tea art culture. At the same time, the teaching practice base was established in the core production area of Hedeyuan as one of the academic research and student practice practice bases of the College of Horticulture of South China Agricultural University.

United Hedeyuan Tea Industry Co., Ltd. established a tea research institute and tea art room. It is an important measure to expand the teaching and research resources of the College of Horticulture of South China Agricultural University and deepen the cultivation of applied innovative talents.
