On the afternoon of October 27th, the College of Horticulture held the fifth study meeting in the 2021-2022 school year in the 101C conference room of the courtyard building. Ma Qiang, deputy secretary of the party committee of the college, Wu Zhenxian, deputy dean, Liu Shaoqun, and all faculty and staff attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Liu Shaoqun, deputy dean.
At the beginning of the meeting, Teacher Liu Zhengying from the General Affairs Department of the school introduced the current facilities of our school and the existing historical fire hazards, and introduced that the current school fire protection acceptance has been included in the work plan and will be launched at this stage. Liu Shaoqun, deputy dean of the college, also emphasized the importance of fire inspection and acceptance, and used the casualties of other domestic universities due to fire protection hazards as warning cases, and advocated the unified thinking of the college’s faculty and staff to cooperate with the school’s fire inspection and acceptance work.
In the second stage of the conference, special training on patent application was conducted for the patent attorney team of Guangdong Chaoyue Intellectual Property Service Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Times Intellectual Property Agency, which was explained by partner Liang Meiling. Liang Gong first gave a brief introduction to the patent, including the concept, function, type, review process and time analysis, etc., and suggested that the content of the patent application is not limited to the immediate planting industry, and there are many related inventions that can be explored, such as landscape flowers. Basin, involving the structure in the production process, etc. At the same time, it also introduced in detail the circumstances in which patents could not be granted, analyzed the difficulties of inventions, and finally explained the use of a large number of cases, and proposed corresponding countermeasures for increasing the patent authorization rate. The teachers benefited a lot and actively interacted with questions.
In the third stage of the meeting, Ma Qiang, deputy secretary of the party committee of the college, conveyed the school’s relevant meeting spirit on cyber security to all faculty members, emphasized that pre-examination must be completed for foreign affairs activities, and explained in detail how to report for foreign-related activities. At the same time Teachers are also reminded to strengthen their awareness of network security. In addition, Deputy Secretary Ma Qiang informed students of recent safety issues, such as going upstairs with electric vehicle batteries, telecommunications fraud, online shopping risks, and mental health, reminding teachers to pay more attention.
