On the afternoon of November 24, the College of Horticulture held the seventh intensive study meeting in the 2021-2022 school year in the 101C conference room of the courtyard building. School Party Secretary Zhang Yifa, Dean Hu Guibing, Deputy Party Secretary Ma Qiang, Vice Deans Cao Fanrong, Wu Zhenxian, Liu Shaoqun and all the faculty attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Secretary Zhang Yifa.

Secretary Zhang Yifa introduced the change process of campus new media from BBS forums, QQ space, blogs, Weibo to WeChat official account with the topic of Campus Public Opinion Handling and Crisis Response in the Context of the New Media Era, and talked about some cases of online public opinion in universities in Guangdong Analyze the characteristics of all the time, all-pervasive, eye-catching and curious psychology in some of the current self-media. In accordance with the requirements of college propaganda and ideological work, it is emphasized that every teacher must have a rational understanding of network information and bear the responsibility of handling public opinion. It is necessary to learn to actively grasp the right to speak and seek support from relevant management departments.

Finally, Secretary Zhang Yifa hopes that teachers will face up to the challenges and opportunities of the new media era, make good use of new media, and use them in the teaching and scientific research process to enhance the effect of education; use new media to strengthen college students’ ideological and political education, employment and entrepreneurship guidance; improve their own quality and Legal Awareness.
