In order to promote the smooth application of national, provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards in 2022, on the morning of March 1, the School of Horticulture held a symposium on the application of science and technology awards in Conference Room 101B. Director Liu Changwei and Deputy Director Zheng Xueyi of the Achievement Management Office of the School of Science Research attended the meeting. Professor Wu Zhenxian, Deputy Dean of the School, and teachers who intend to apply for awards in the disciplines of fruit trees, post-harvest, vegetables and tea attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Hu Guibing, Dean of the College.
At the symposium, Dean Hu Guibing extended a warm welcome to the presence of the two leaders of the Achievement Management Office of the Academy of Sciences, thanked the Academy for its consistent guidance and support for the Academy's award application work, and then reported the Academy's award application plan and application topics.
Director Liu Changwei reviewed the awards for scientific and technological achievements of the school and college in the past 20 years, and pointed out that the discipline of horticulture has a profound accumulation. More iconic results. Zheng Xueyi introduced the categories and application requirements of science and technology awards from the state, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Guangdong Province.
Subsequently, the relevant teachers of fruit tree, post-harvest, vegetable and tea disciplines reported in detail the current preparations for the relevant work of award declaration, and the gap, shortage and difficulties in comparison with the application conditions. Liu Changwei and Zheng Xueyi provided guidance for each application award plan.
Dean Hu Guibing said that the college attaches great importance to the application of science and technology awards, and will do a solid job of organizing and serving the application of science and technology awards under the guidance of the school's scientific research institute, creating conditions to provide practical guarantees for all applicants of the college. At the same time, I also hope that all applicants will plan ahead, strengthen information collection and integration of scientific research resources inside and outside the school, and strive for more and higher-level achievement awards.
The convening of this symposium further sorted out the research results of the college in related disciplines, and will have a positive role in promoting the college's future application of big projects, large platforms, and large teams.
