On November 12, 2022, the Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao Tea Culture and Exchange Activity of the 2020 Ministry of Education's Mainland and Hong Kong, Macao, Primary and Secondary School Teacher and Student Exchange Program (referred to as the Ten Thousand Person Program), organized by our college and the University of Hong Kong, was successfully held. President Hu Guibing, School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University, delivered a speech on behalf of the college. Dr. Li Dongya, Mainland Affairs Office of the University of Hong Kong, Wu Xin, Section Chief of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Office of the university, and Liu Shaoqun, Associate Researcher of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University, as well as project members, Associate Professor Zhang Lingzhi, Teacher Tan Xindong, and 18 students from both universities participated in the event.
President Hu Guibing gave a brief introduction to tea culture and the general situation of the Department of Tea Science of South China Agricultural University in his speech. He pointed out that the Department of Tea Science of South China Agricultural University has been committed to the promotion and promotion of tea culture, and is very happy to have this platform to share tea culture and tea knowledge with Hong Kong master students today. Section Chief Wu Xin introduced the long history of the Horticultural College and welcomed Hong Kong masters to come to the Huanong Tea Garden to pick tea and make tea after the outbreak. Dr. Li Dongya thanked the college for carefully organizing this event, wished the exchange conference a complete success, and looked forward to more cooperation and exchange projects between the two schools in the future. Subsequently, Associate Professor Zhang Lingzhi and Teacher Tan Xindong brought a special lecture on tea culture to everyone.
After a full day of lectures and exchanges, everyone gained a lot. The launch of this activity has promoted disciplinary exchanges between Guangdong and Macao universities, enlivened the cultural life of the two universities, and established a bridge between teachers and students of the two universities. The teachers and students of the University of Hong Kong and the South China Agricultural University are very much looking forward to the opportunity to conduct in-depth offline exchange and learning next year, and wish the two schools the flowers of cooperation always bloom, the tree of friendship evergreen.
